Walker Wilcox partner Kevin R. O’Neill attended the 4th annual Midwest Construction Defect & Dispute Conference in Chicago

On May 20, 2019, Walker Wilcox partner Kevin R. O’Neill attended the 4^th annual Midwest Construction Defect & Dispute Conference in Chicago.   The conference focused on both insurance coverage and defense issues presented by damage from construction defects.  Of particular importance was the new Illinois appellate court decision, Acuity v. 950 W. Huron Condominium Association and its impact on insurance coverage for general contractors, developers and subcontractors in construction defect litigation.  Kevin represented a subcontractor in the case underlying the Acuity decision, securing summary judgment in the subcontractor’s favor.  A copy of the Acuity decision can be found here.
