Kasey joined Walker Wilcox Matousek in 2018 after graduating from law school. She focuses her practice on insurance coverage litigation and direct defense of tort and professional liability matters. She has represented domestic and international insurers in complex insurance coverage and bad faith matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States involving commercial general liability, first-party property, professional liability, and directors and officers’ liability. Kasey has also defended parties in medical malpractice, legal malpractice and premises liability cases. She handles all aspects of litigation including motion practice, discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, jury trials and appeals.
Kasey earned her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign-Urbana in 2018. During law school, she was actively involved in coaching undergraduate mock trial teams, as well as competing for the College of Law trial team. She was a student attorney with the Domestic Violence and Family Advocacy clinics where she represented adults and children in juvenile court. She also served as an Articles Editor of the Illinois Law Review, where her Note on the Federal Rules of Evidence was published. Outside of the office, Kasey enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
