Jim Huberty’s practice is multifaceted with particular emphasis on representing clients on matters involving directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, and corporate indemnification. He has dealt with companies of several types and sizes including Fortune 50 multi-nationals, high-tech start-ups, and non-profit organizations.

Jim assisted in handling several recent high-profile matters, including the AT&T, Lucent and McKesson HBOC securities litigations. His significant business experience and training afford him unique insights and perspectives, which have proven valuable in evaluating the merits of such litigation, and in devising creative cost-effective approaches to settlement and/or resolution of such matters. They also enable him to better identify, understand and consider issues that are fundamentally business in nature, and which might otherwise be overlooked when developing legal solutions and giving legal advice. Jim also has applied his knowledge of business fundamentals to his law practice, devising ways to work more effectively and efficiently in an effort to add value for his and the firm’s clients.

Jim has previous work experience as an investment analyst for Old Republic International, and as CFO for a start-up software company.
