Gene Baldonado is an attorney of counsel in Walker Wilcox Matousek LLP’s Houston office. Gene has represented clients engaged in a wide range of industries, including insurance, distribution, transportation, construction, and hospitality. He is well versed in defending insurance carriers in first-party common law and statutory bad faith claims. His experience extends to representing insureds in a wide range of third-party insurance matters, including personal injury, premises liability, professional liability, and fraud claims. Before practicing law, Gene gained significant financial analysis and accounting experience in the insurance and energy industries.

Gene has guided and advised clients in both state and federal court. In 2022, Gene helped secure a no-liability jury verdict in favor of a major transportation company in a complex personal injury case trial.
